Learn the key elements of Lean Manufacturing and it's practical application. Participants in this course will learn the concepts and tools of Lean Manufacturing, and be able to apply those concepts and tools to a classroom simulation. Attendies will leave with a complete understanding of how to begin implimenting Lean Manufacturing at their company. Scheduled For This course is scheduled for Ft. Lauderdale in Novemeber 2009, San Diego in January 2010 and Seattle in April 2010. Specific dates TBD.OBJECTIVEThis course will offer a complete introduction to the key methods and tools of Lean Manufacturing. Core concepts and strategies of lean manufacturing will be covered, and participants in the course will be involved in a hands-on application of Lean methodology through an interactive simulation. SUMMARYThis course covers the principles of Lean Processing and the 10 Tools of Lean Transformation. Participants will learn to apply the Lean Principles and the 10 Tools through a realistic classroom simulation. This course will also discuss the three phases of implimentation which have been determined by Best Consultants to be the most dynamic and effective way to impliment lean across industries. DESCRIPTIONThis course provides a detailed introduction to Lean Manufacturing. The instructor will begin the course by providing an analysis of the principles underlying the traditional manufacfuring process, and will lead a discussion on the application of Lean Manufacturing. Course particpants will be involved in three active simulations. The first simulation will replicate the traditional mfg. process, and the subsequent two simulations will allow for the participants to take the manufacturing process through the implimentation of Lean. All simulations will include time for discussions on possible improvements, Q&A, and will also incorporate productivity metrics, including a profit and loss statement. Simulations will cover the manufacture of two current products, and a new item introduction in the latter half of the course. Core Lean Mfg. principles covered in this course:
